| Bertucci’s may be a chain, but each of its restaurants provides a warm, stylish setting in which to grab a casual, family-friendly bite to eat. Pizza comes in your choice of traditional thin-crust or heartier Neapolitan style. You can take a house suggestion, like the shrimp with lemon-pepper cream sauce (yes, that's a pizza), or invent your own from a 20-plus list of toppings. Pastas are serviceable, from rigatoni Abruzzi with roasted peppers and sweet sausage to lobster ravioli. The calzones are whoppers, stuffed to the gills and slathered with a sprightly tomato sauce. And---in a surprise move for a place best-known for its pizzas and pastas—Bertucci’s has inaugurated a gluten-free menu as well. Reservations are not taken for small parties, but you can call ahead to shorten the wait. |
