Bertucci's Brick Oven Pizzeria Restaurant Review: Bertucci’s may be a chain, but each of its restaurants provides a warm, stylish setting in which to grab a casual, family-friendly bite to eat. The fire-baked pizzas are available with classic, inventive or custom toppings, and can be ordered “Roman-style” --- extra-large and square-cut, designed for group consumption. Pastas are serviceable, from rigatoni Abruzzi with roasted peppers and sweet sausage to lobster and smoked mozzarella ravioli. The calzones are whoppers, stuffed to the gills and slathered with a sprightly tomato sauce. And --- in a surprise move for a place best-known for its pizzas and pastas --- Bertucci’s inaugurated a gluten-free menu as well. Reservations are not taken for small parties, but you can call ahead to shorten the wait. |
