Besito Restaurant Review: Chef Matthew Lake's Mexican restaurant in Huntington Village has an upscale and chic vibe. Dark wood floors and brown accents craft a Mexican folk art look, and the dim candlelight provides the ideal atmosphere in which to enjoy the authentic fare. Appetizers include a ceviche of the day served with plantains as well as some standbys like queso fundido and quesadillas. The latter are dressed up with squash blossoms, roasted green chile and mushrooms. Main dishes are divided into tacos, enchiladas and platos fuertes. Tacos are presented in a cast-iron skillet and come in several versions, like traditional al pastor with pineapple and pork. Cocktails, margaritas and a large selection of blanco, reposado and añejo tequilas are on offer; a tequila flight is a good option for those looking to try several varieties.
