Bice Ristorante Restaurant Review: The restaurant chain originated with Beatrice "Bice" Ruggeri's Italian trattoria, circa 1926, and today spans the world from Los Angeles to Sao Paulo and from Tokyo to Montréal. It’s a trendy place and after a decline in popularity the restaurant is now back in the good graces of the deep-pocketed glitzy crowd that frequents the upscale strip of Sherbrooke Street. In summer, the patio "Il Giardino" is the place to be --- and be seen. As a member of the Urban Kitchen group it is also a showcase of striking interior design and artful décor. The menu is a mix of traditional antipasti and pasta with globetrotting touches, but in all cases it is served by a glamorous staff and creatively presented. The kitchen takes pride in using quality produce, imported staples and fresh seafood. Don't miss the fresh lobster chitarucci pasta with tomatoes and roasted fennel and lobster bisque. Then move on to braised veal cheeks with creamy truffle polenta before finishing with frozen tiramisu ice cream cake with dark chocolate cookies.
