| Modeled after the intimate bistros of Paris, Bidwell Street Bistro is neither overly casual nor uncomfortably formal. Its warm hospitality and quality cuisine makes it a good choice for a pleasant night out. Although located a half hour from the central city, it has found a following and is well worth the drive. The menu is typical of a Parisian bistro, and includes such appetizers as roasted garlic escargots, Alsatian bacon and leek tart and steamed mussels in citrus broth. Mains include pan-roasted escolar, roasted quail and chicken potpie with root vegetables. Don't pass on dessert, which includes a spiced pumpkin bread pudding, chocolate and caramel millefeuille, and profiteroles with bittersweet chocolate. |
