Big Truck Tacos Restaurant Review: What began as a shared dream between two respected chefs and a well-regarded local restaurant impresario has become a mainstay of the Oklahoma City food scene. Big Truck Tacos' menu is based on a traditional Mexican food truck---and indeed there is a mobile version of the restaurant that tweets its location to its many followers. Start off your visit with the addictive queso and chips while you wait for your tacos to be prepared. Our favorites include the Guardian taco, enveloping a savory ground bison picadillo topped with green onions, queso fresco and pico de gallo, and CJ’s verde pork taco that features slow-roasted pork sprinkled with chopped tomatillos and cilantro. All of the tacos are served in true Mexican style, with two soft homemade tortillas accompanied by several flavorful salsas. Big Truck Tacos also offers hefty burritos, tortas and salads if you are in the mood for other options. Pair any selection with a refreshing Mexican beer or agua fresca. |
