If your wine knowledge is sparse, servers will expertly guide you toward something that suits your tastes and pairs well with the light selections that emerge from the kitchen. A Friulian Tocai with grapefruit overtones, for example, is the perfect crisp chaser for a mixed green salad with slivered almonds, fresh pear and a warmed goat cheese-smothered crostini. A spicy, robust Umbrian red complements a rich plate of seafood risotto.
