Great Wine List* Click here for rating key
The Atrium Building provides a picturesque setting for this modern bistro’s contemporary food, as well as the nightly jazz and the terrific revolving art displays, all of which separate Bistango from the typical Orange County dining room. Chef Javier Montoya changes the menu seasonally, but always includes crisp gourmet pizzas, seared ahi, steaks, veal chops and several interesting pastas. Start with the comforting and creamy sweet garlic soup, which tastes even better with croutons providing crunchy contrast. When it comes to the main course, order any of the well-prepared steaks, a seasonal risotto or tender fish specials. There's also a wine list that includes about 700 labels, plus an extensive by-the-glass selection. The lunch menu isn’t much different, except for a two-course prix-fixe menu with nice wine pairings for busy business folks. Nightly entertainment and a Wednesday night wine tasting event keep the place lively and fun. |
