Bistango Restaurant Review

: The Atrium Building provides a picturesque setting for this modern bistro’s contemporary food, as well as the nightly jazz and the revolving art displays, all of which separate Bistango from the typical Orange County dining room. Chef Javier Montoya changes the menu seasonally, but always includes crisp gourmet pizzas, seared ahi, steaks, veal chops and several interesting pastas. Start with the comforting and creamy sweet garlic soup, which tastes even better with croutons providing crunchy contrast. When it comes to the main course, order any of the well-prepared steaks, a seasonal risotto or fish special. The wine list includes about 700 labels, and there’s an extensive by-the-glass selection. The lunch menu doesn’t differ much, except for a two-course prix-fixe option with nice wine pairings for busy business folks. Nightly entertainment and an intriguing small plates menu available in the happening bar area keep the place lively and fun.
