Bistro 7 Restaurant Review: Step inside this fava bean-green storefront and you’ll find chef-owner Michael O'Halloran waging a quiet, one-man revolution to deliver farm-fresh cuisine with a stylish, creative touch. He presents a weekly changing menu that might include cornmeal-fried oysters with a horseradish sabayon or short ribs braised with burgundy, garlic and rosemary. Try the cheese plate, served with a honeycomb and pistachio brittle, especially if you’re lucky enough to taste the lemony goat cheese by California-based Humboldt Fog. A chocolate malted pot de crème is simply satisfying. Against a minimalist backdrop, this little BYOB impresses and the $60 ten-course tasting menu is a good way to get acquainted. |
