THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Bistro Laurent Restaurant Review

: A bright yellow sign displaying the word “Yes” is painted on the front window, while the interior is modern with somewhat industrial-looking décor created with sharp angles, metallic overhead light fixtures and stark-white walls. The café menu ranges from waffles and pancakes to burgers and omelets. A buttery french toast is made sweeter with raisins and dried cranberries. A few crêpes are available; the best is filled with scrambled eggs, ham, Swiss cheese and tomatoes. Dinnertime brings several more savory crêpes, like the “La Normande” with chicken breast made tender from being cooked in Calvados. Bistro steaks, however, are the best option at dinner, available in several different cuts. The filet is topped with a Cognac peppercorn sauce while a hanger steak is accompanied by a Cabernet, onion and balsamic reduction. Of course, crispy french fries accompany both. A variety of pastries make for tempting, flaky desserts. The small wine list offers a number of French varietals that pair nicely with the food.
