THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Bistro le Fandango Restaurant Review: We like the vibe in this cozy, brick-wall brasserie. Even more, though, we like the food---authentic French, with a few Basque regional specialties. Start with the shrimp and scallops Fandango style (sautéed and then rubbed with garlic and Basque chili to give a bit of zip), or perhaps with a chunk of the country pâte. Or perhaps the cheese plate...or the charcuterie platter. If you have a hard time deciding (as we did), order a few appetizers to share amongst all the members of your party. Though you can get French standby entrées such as roast duck breast and filet steak in peppercorn sauce, you may want to be more adventurous. Try the frog legs Provençal or the gamey yet tender rabbit stew.
