Sally's is like a transplanted Louisiana roadhouse, full of good music, good people and good food.

For years, this colorful storefront has served barbecued ribs, Cajun popcorn and jambalaya for bayou-starved souls. Try as it might to be a dive, Sally's is actually more like a good-natured, transplanted Louisiana roadhouse. Start with a cup of smoky gumbo loaded with chicken, crawfish and andouille sausage. We also like the pan-fried crab cakes with sweet corn sauce, the deep-fried catfish fingers with tartar sauce and the fried oysters. But save room for the entrées because they're big and go down easy, from blackened catfish to po' boys stuffed with fried oysters, andouille sausage or burnt ends. Speaking of barbecue, Sally's gives you three different sauces to anoint your smoky meat. And don't forget dessert, including the signature bourbon-laced pie and an old-fashioned root beer float featuring Connecticut's Hasmer Mt. root beer and Buck's French ice cream. For the late-night crowd, there is live music on most weekends and a Mardi Gras party bar scene. Sally's lets the good times roll.
