This historic townhouse, designed by the famed architect Frank Furness, boasts all the trappings of a true Irish pub. Art Nouveau metal etches the walls, dark wood furnishes the bar and banquettes---even the beams are appropriately decorated. Sit in front of the Mission fireplace and sample Dagwood-size sandwiches and salads along with Irish specials such as fish 'n' chips, shepherd’s pie, Guinness Irish stew or good vegetarian options. Dishes also include New York strip over mashed potatoes with seasonal vegetables in a Cabernet sauce. Guinness is on tap (naturally), along with other import faves such as Stella and Chimay. Expect European “football” on the telly and a game of darts in progress. Beer dinners with the brewers are on tap too. Brunch includes the option of a traditional Irish breakfast, complete with bangers and black and white pudding.
