Blue Fin Sushi Bar Restaurant Review: The setting is industrial chic meets mussed-up minimalist; the sushi, well, it’s unfortunately only okay. While once considered among the wackier sushi spots around, these days this Wicker Park hub feels almost mainstream. Needless to say, you’ll still find all the familiar sushi, sashimi and maki you crave, along with specialty rolls like the Ocean Drive roll with tuna, yellowtail, jalapeño, cilantro and avocado and tempura crumbs with sweet and spicy sauces. Another crowd-pleasing roll: the Shiroyama, snow crab with cucumber and avocado inside, and baked scallops, vegetables, masago and spicy mayo on top. There also are elaborate, relatively affordable combination dinners (that serve one, two or four).
