 Blue Pointe Grille boasts a distinct nautical theme throughout, but you won’t find any tired fishnets or weathered oars---the vibe is more yacht than rowboat. Not surprisingly, seafood reaches to every corner of the menu. A starter of ahi tartare served with a bright avocado salsa and wonton chips gives way to a host of elegant, simply prepared main courses. Examples include Lake Erie walleye, served over a buttery bed of polenta, scented with orange-saffron vinaigrette. Many of the dishes are accompanied by the restaurant’s famous fluffy lobster mashed potatoes. For indecisive diners who don’t feel like picking their own course, there's relief in knowing you don't have to. Blue Pointe offers a condensed prix-fixe menu featuring the restaurant's most knockout dishes, including the Nag’s Head grouper, crab topped filets and chocolate bomb dessert. The martini list is creative and the wine list is extensive, but plan to pay for the privilege of such plenty.
