| There's no glam in the luncheonette-like setting, just good fresh seafood that keeps the locals coming. On the printed menu, find just about every popular American fish and shellfish preparation known to man, from crispy calamari to oysters on the half shell, lobster bisque to fried New Bedford flounder. But check out the blackboard specials for creative and innovative dishes. Offerings may include pistachio-crusted Scottish salmon with roasted asparagus and jasmine rice with almond drizzle; tempura soft-shell crab stir-fry with long beans; and swordfish with wilted rainbow chard, spicy rice and beans with chipotle chile. Many of the denizens of the deep are served in pasta dishes such as seafood fra diablo with a virtual aquarium full of shrimp, scallops, clams, mussels and calamari in a mild or fiery sauce set upon capellini or linguine. Another nice touch is Blue Water's panini of salmon, tilapia, swordfish, crab cake or yellowfin tuna, served with organic greens, shaved red onion and Gorgonzola. |
