| The Blue Willow Inn is a long-established eatery located in an early twentieth-century Greek Revival-style house. We sometimes find the food greasy and tepid, but when it's on, it's a classic Southern dining experience. Vegetables are done in the Southern manner---that means cooked---sometimes with pork meat for seasoning, so vegetarians beware. Fried green tomatoes, squash casserole, sweet potato casserole, and similar dishes are among the stars. Pork roast is just as sweet, moist and tender as it could be, and we recommend the fried fish, too. You must taste at least one dessert, but choosing which one will be difficult. No alcohol. |
