Bluebird London NYC Restaurant Review:

About the restaurant & décor: Occupying a third floor space at Time Warner Center above Central Park is this North American offshoot of the original restaurant in London's fashionable Chelsea, created by D&D London restaurant group’s Des Gunewardena and David Loewi. It offers contemporary takes on English cuisine in a dining area that’s airy and inviting and marked by warm and neutral tones, natural wood and mid-20th-century-themed artworks.

Likes: Warm and solicitous service on the whole.
Dislikes: Dishes lacked presentation and the different components were arranged on the plate in compartmentalized fashion.

Food & Drinks: Pair classics like fork-tender beef Wellington (intended to be shared) and a flaky Cornish hen pie with wine from the British Isles for a comprehensive English gastronomic experience. Lighter options such as an appetizer of razor-thin scallop carpaccio, and entrées including a moist North Atlantic cod can also be found on the menu. Among the desserts are a refreshing, mildly sweet and tart citrus Pavlova and an indulgent and nutty chocolate almond bread pudding. Additionally, a café and wine lounge serves all-day fare, while classic, specialty and gin-centered cocktails and other libations along with snacks can be had at the bar. The Parlour adjacent to The Gallery, which showcases contemporary artworks from notable artists, turns out light food to pair with global wines. Traditional afternoon tea in the main dining room draws expats and Anglophiles.
