| Bocados by day is a subdued, sunny lunch spot and by night a lively, clubby hotspot where everyone seems to know each other. Nestled in a bungalow in the heart of Montrose, it has three small dining areas in soft colors and with smart artwork on the walls. Since “bocados” means “mouthful” in Spanish, a great place to start is the Bocados sampler. Pairs of bite-size items include stuffed jalapeños with mozzarella and shrimp, flavorful little empanadas, crab cakes, quesadillas and terrific ceviche. The sampler easily can be split or it makes a meal in itself. Bocados serves a good guacamole and fine seafood and spinach enchiladas along with the usual Tex-Mex fare. Wednesday evenings feature a live DJ starting around 8 p.m. so stick around to enjoy---or at least be forewarned. |
