| The Bombay Club's clubby, imperial British ambience practically begs for an icy, bracing martini to sip while relaxing in a plush armchair, and the bar does not disappoint. But while the extensive list of martini-style cocktails is a major specialty of this operation, which is tucked away as practically an inner-sanctum of the Prince Conti Hotel, the kitchen produces a dinner menu that shouldn't be forsaken. Filet mignon wearing a ribbon of Stilton has the right tenderness and moistness, as does the "duck duet" pairing a leg of duck confit and pepper-seared boneless breast with a raspberry duck reduction. Shellfish in a variety of sauces go down just as easily. |
