Bombay Cricket Club Restaurant Review: The huge flat-screen TV broadcasting cricket matches is visible from both floors of this casual yet simultaneously upscale restaurant. Begin with a vividly hued mango margarita and then move on to the naan that arrives with various additions, most notably garlic, potato and cheese. All curries are first-rate with adjustable heat. Also worth ordering are the spinach-packed shrimp saag, butter chicken, dals, and any of the coconut curries (how about scooping up the sauce with wedges of naan?). The restaurant's tandoor oven performs admirably, and the lamb, chicken and fish emerge a charred, lusty orange color but are never dry. Cardamom adds a gentle perfume to the basmati rice. There's also a perplexing yet tasty array of Middle Eastern dishes such as lemony fattoush salad, mezze platters and grape leaves. A full bar and a sizable wine list promise something for everyone.
