Bonefish Grill Restaurant Review: In a place like Pensacola, where there's a locally owned seafood restaurant on every corner, it might be tempting to sneer at a chain fish house. But don't let parochial fervor keep you away from Bonefish Grill. This high-end restaurant offers fresh-off-the-boat fish imaginatively prepared. Start with the addictive creamy corn chowder with plump pillows of lump crab meat. Then choose from one of five to eight fresh catch items available daily and tell your server how you'd like it prepared. The menu offers a standing list of sauces including lime-tomato-garlic, ginger-teriyaki and warm mango salsa. Toppings range from lump crab meat, lobster and shrimp to Gorgonzola, asparagus and artichokes. Even if you opt for a simple lemon butter, you'll get a beautifully grilled filet of fish, caramelized outside and moist inside. Yes, there's a dessert tray, but you may want to go for one of the house specialty drinks instead. The "Chocolate Martini" with vodka and Godiva liqueurs isn't an adult cocktail, but it works very well as an adult dessert. |
