Bontá is one of the Seacoast area's few choices in upscale dining, but with a more casual lounge dining area there are options for those who just want to share some appetizers and sip a martini or two. From the outside, Bontá seems like some elusive tycoon’s McMansion. From the inside, well, it’s just as rich looking. Couples celebrating special occasions head straight for the graceful dining room complete with fireplace. There, they’re presented with a modern Italian menu that changes daily. Oysters Rockefeller with hollandaise is a luxurious start before moving on to a juicy chicken cooked under a brick. Pastas include a lobster mac ‘n’ cheese, a decadent creamy vehicle for chunks of sweet meat. There's a more casual bar menu with flatbreads and salads or order the roasted rack of lamb, under its porcini crust. For dessert, the chocolate tasting---composed of Mexican hot chocolate, a fudge brownie, a brown-sugar blondie and chocolate-covered peanuts---is lots of fun. |
