 Bonta Restaurant & Bar Restaurant Review: Locals start the evening in Bonta’s more casual lounge area, where there are options for those who just want to sip a martini or two and share some appetizers, like the veal polpette with tomato sugo, Fontina and micro basil. Couples and families celebrating special occasions head straight for the graceful dining room complete with a fireplace. The modern Italian cooking engages in local sourcing. Try the pasta dishes like mezzi rigatoni salsiccia with sweet and spicy sausage, roasted peppers, sliced garlic, roasted tomato ragù, herbed ricotta and a hint of fried basil, or Mediterranean halibut with a coriander-cumin spice rub, sun-dried tomato torta, orange burro fuso, olive tapenade and a mellow fennel orange salad. Lamb chops are roasted in seasoned cast iron. The wine list is divided into old-world and new-world selections with plenty of choices from Italy and South America. For dessert, we suggest the refreshing lemon panna cotta given texture with crumbled biscotti and fresh berries. |
