On The Border Restaurant Review: Americans have a thing about cowboys and tacos, and this restaurant group puts them together. By using an obvious ranch house theme and hanging cowboy gear and Mexican doodads around, management just about convinces us that it serves rugged cowboy fare. Not quite, since grilled portobello and chicken salads seem rather urban. However, you can find buffalo fajitas, a dish we like, or other fajitas, burritos, chimichangas, enchiladas and assorted stylish grilled foods. Portions are apt to be large, flavors not consistently on target, and waits for a table almost a sure thing. After-work crowds include yuppie couples and suburban families, so lunchtime may be faster and easier. |
