Boxcar Cantina Restaurant Review: If you can't find the Boxcar Cantina, just follow the noise echoing from inside the restaurant, which is amplified by its tin roof. The eatery is on Hamilton Avenue, an extension of Railroad Avenue, and not on Old Field Point Road, which usually gets customers turned around. The menu is conventional, but like the festive atmosphere, is enhanced when shared with others. Dig into the Navajo chicken basket, organic chicken with fries, or the two-cheese quesadilla served with pico de gallo. Margaritas are king-size and made with any number of tequilas on hand, including Jose Cuervo and Don Julio. The ambience, while noisy, helps to offset the fact that you're paying Greenwich prices for mundane fare. |
