BRABO by Robert Wiedmaier Restaurant Review

: Under the watchful eye of its owner-executive chef, BRABO lands in the spotlights for its three-part, all-food business: the restaurant BRABO by Robert Wiedmaier, the casual The Tasting Room for lighter fare, and the butcher shop, called The Butcher’s Block by RW. For three-in-one eat-it-all feasting, this makes an unbeatable combo. The star in this trio, of course, is BRABO, where Wiedmaier and his chef de cuisine Chris Watson fuse Wiedmaier’s Belgian roots with casual American eating. For his Belgian dishes, try the bistro filet with Belgian frites or start with the mussels in white wine. For Americana with a touch of Belgium, his famous braised pork shank is slow-cooked ambrosia. In-house desserts are mandatory, including the Belgian waffle with a fruit compote or his ultra-rich crème fraîche cheesecake. BRABO shows off some of Wiedmaier’s most inventive cooking.
