There was Fogo de Chão. Along came Texas de Brazil---and a slew of others. What is it with this culinary cluster of Brazilian steakhouses? Many of them are so close to each other and so much alike that if one of the food-toting gauchos wandered off he could accidentally be serving food in the wrong restaurant. Our major gripe with this place isn’t the food, though. It’s the setting, which borders on banquet-like. If you opt to dine nonetheless, know the best meat choices here are the lamb chops, rump roast and filet wrapped in bacon. Side dishes, such as mashed potatoes, fried polenta and fried bananas, are included in the price, but dessert is extra. |
