BrewCo Restaurant Review

: A mere two blocks from the pier, the front wall of this restaurant opens onto the busy street, allowing diners to people-watch or take in the sparkling ocean view. On the wide-ranging menu is a giant soft pretzel imported from Munich, a welcome salty accompaniment to the beers. Several salads are available, with selections from Chinese chicken to a richer lobster and crab cake version atop arugula, roasted corn, caramelized onions and feta cheese. The spicy blackened tuna sandwich has a strong kick, slathered with a wasabi aïoli, while large plates like seafood enchiladas or skirt steak served with tortillas and red rice offer plenty of choices. Fish ‘n’ chips are disappointingly soggy, but the baby-back ribs with a homemade barbecue sauce are more than satisfying, falling off the bone and with very little fat. Dessert is limited to a chocolate chip cookie sundae with vanilla ice cream. Beers are definitely the beverage to order, though there are a few California wines, too.
