THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Brick & Spoon Restaurant Review

: New Orleanians waited a long time for this place to open, watching it being erected from the ground up and hearing about its much ballyhooed build-your-own Bloody Mary bar. The result is mixed: the food is decent, but the service is uneven from one visit to the next (diners sometimes wait a long time to be noticed). Breakfast is a hearty affair, with items such as French toast sliders stuffed with cream cheese and English muffins finished with corn-dusted oysters and bacon. Later in the day, the menu shifts to selections like a soft-shell crab BLT and respectable burgers. Be careful in regard to the aforementioned Bloody Mary bar --- the toppings can add up. Desserts are odd; white chocolate and bacon bread pudding is as questionable a choice as it sounds. There is a full bar, but little emphasis on wines.
