| Britta’s Café is firmly entrenched in its Irvine digs, which still seem miles away from its roots in picturesque Balboa Peninsula. Happily, the restaurant is larger and no less aesthetically pleasing from the inside. Owner Britta Pulliam’s version of updated Continental-American cuisine showcasing locally grown products continues to satisfy. Breakfast is a popular meal here as the egg dishes have American, Mexican and French influences. Art displays, a monthly book club and two spacious patios with a “dogs welcome” policy help contribute to the community ambience. The wine list contains a number of lesser-known California labels. |
