Britta's Cafe Restaurant Review: Nestled in the midst of the University Center, adjacent to UC Irvine’s main campus, this location of Britta’s Café is a bit of a departure from its roots in picturesque Balboa Peninsula. Happily, the restaurant is larger and its interior is no less aesthetically pleasing. Owner Britta Pulliam’s version of updated Continental-American cuisine showcasing locally grown products continues to satisfy. Breakfast is a popular meal here, as the egg dishes have American, Mexican and French influences. Art displays, a monthly book club and two spacious patios with a “dogs welcome” policy help contribute to the community ambience. The wine list contains a number of lesser-known California labels. |
