As neighborhood brewpubs go, Broadway is as good as it gets. For starters, it’s a non-denominational pub that welcomes everyone from the pierced and the punked to professionals, beer geeks and couples young and old. Lovers of quiet pints enjoy the afternoon sipping sessions while younger night-lifers come late and crank tunes from Broadway’s multi-genre jukebox. At either extreme, the house is an ace place for drinking craft beer and eating well-crafted low-priced pub grub. Broadway pours the full litter of their Flying Dog line---love that dog-gone good Pale Ale---along with a primo lineup of guest beers including Tabernash Weis and Phantom Canyon’s hoppy IPA. When we’re hungry for a budget belly-full we hit B-way for gooey $1 slices of thin crust pizza and two-fisted six-buck calzones that feed two. A ’zone and a pint here could be the best under-$10 bite & beer deal in Denver. Bring the growler and take home a half-gallon of fresh brew to-go.
