Bruegger's Bagel Bakery Restaurant Review: Bruegger's bagels are made the old-fashioned way, kettle-boiled and stone-hearth-baked. Bagels come in standard issue plain, salt, poppyseed and garlic for the purists and experimental flavors such as pumpkin-cream cheese for those who can't leave well enough alone. As to schmears, there are 14 different boutique varieties to choose from. For a breakfast bagel sandwich that is far superior to most fast food offerings, try the Southwestern, which comes with jalapeño cream cheese, egg, cheddar cheese and a dollop of salsa. Unfortunately, the coffee at Bruegger's isn't as good as we want it to be, but many locations remedy this shortcoming by sharing a wall with local coffee spot Caribou Coffee. |
