Buca di Beppo Restaurant Review: The hook here is the food---piles of it. All served family-style with gusto, if not élan. Nothing here is subtle; everything is done to excess, but it all makes for a fine experience if you have a lot of friends who like to share good food, laugh and have fun. The food is billed as immigrant southern Italian and includes credible versions of mussels marinara, huge bowls of salad, spaghetti, linguine and rigatoni with several kinds of sauce, pizzas of all sorts and main courses like chicken Marsala. You also may find Romano-crusted tilapia and salmon with sun-dried tomatoes, pesto cream sauce and pine nuts. Try to save room for the dolce platter, a medley of desserts including house-made tiramisu, double dark chocolate cake, homemade cheesecake and a seasonal favorite.
