A California restaurant with a European vibe, this outdoor café behind the Privé-Ona Salon offers an interesting atmosphere in which to grab a light meal or pot of tea and a bit of reflective thought. The fountain of Buddha in the center of the dining area inspires a kind of hushed calm and a multiple page menu of teas and elixirs (mostly organic) encourages patrons to do the body good. All drinks can be made with regular or soy milk although it may take more than a few minutes until you find anyone to take your order. Service follows the European style (there's no such thing as a quick meal), as does the dress: somber black, designer sunglasses and tousled hair. Breakfast and lunch are served and include everything from Spanish omelets to smoked salmon panini and vegetarian wraps. |
