THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Buddha's Belly Restaurant Review:
A neighborhood joint this definitely is, as evidenced by the casual demeanor of the servers, and the prices are reasonable, especially given the generous size of the main dishes. For starters, tuna tacos are filled with cilantro and red onion in addition to plenty of ahi, while tender chicken wings are coated in a thick brown adobo sauce; bao and gyoza are also on offer. All-around-Asia large plates include plenty of standards, such as pad thai and green curry, alongside a play on classics like a Vietnamese po'boy filled with pork belly, chicken liver pâté, pickled vegetables and a red pepper sauce. Other entrées include Korean rib-eye bulgogi, ramen bowls, and a whole fried snapper that’s only available on Friday nights. Varied flavors of mochi, green tea tiramisu, and chocolate fondue are among the desserts. Though there are a few wines, the dry and refreshing Asian beers are the optimal pairing for your meal. Overall, your belly should keep you smiling like the Buddha's.
