Priceless art, stunning architecture and tasteful food are the draws at the Buffet at the Kimbell. Thirtysomething couples dressed in techno-black rendezvous for dinner Friday evenings; a coterie of senior citizens meets for lunch on Sunday. The chalkboard menu changes frequently, generally offering a choice of richly flavored soups---such as the kicky poblano-and-corn chowder---freshly prepared salads, sandwiches and quiches. Dilled veggie and rice, spiced beets and carrots or chunks of fresh fruit are good either solo or clustered with chicken Caesar. Grab a cup of coffee with a rich slice of cake or pie for an after-art snack.
