The Buffet at Monte Carlo Restaurant Review

: This cheerful buffet displays the traditional dishes that diners expect, accompanied by some classy surprises. The salad bar, for example, offers the usual greens and trimmings, plus straw mushrooms, bamboo shoots and mesclun. Seafood choices include yellowtail, mussels with cilantro rice, and clams in white wine. Breast of chicken is served with pineapple salsa; carved-to-order turkey is filled with cranberry stuffing; and a vegetable medley is mixed with orzo Toscano. Prime rib, barbecued pork ribs and mac ā€˜nā€™ cheese are among favorites, as are wild mushrooms, roasted red potatoes and grilled corn on the cob. Desserts include cupcake-shaped carrot cake, fruit tarts, and vanilla and chocolate frozen custard. 7 a.m.-3 p.m. Mon.-Thurs. $17.99 (children 5-11 $12.99); brunch 7 a.m.-3 p.m. Fri.-Sun. $21.99 (children 5-11 $17.99); dinner Mon.-Thurs. $24.99 (children 5-11 $17.99); dinner Fri.-Sun. $27.99 (children 5-11 $19.99). A buffet to-go option is offered daily for $17 and an all-day pass is $42 (children 5-11 $26).
