Bustling café and bakery is the place to be for crowd-watching while indulging in a piece of pie or nibbling on a Texas-sized panino.

The oversize fake fur banquette is a prime people-watching perch for surveying the crowds while sipping on a Buli coolie, nibbling on a Texas-size panino or indulging in the cake of the day. Coolies are frozen concoctions offered in several flavors from coffee toffee to green tea. Panini are served on tasty rustic rolls, and we particularly like the grilled chicken with tomatoes, fresh spinach, basil and Muenster cheese topped with a zesty raspberry-chipotle chutney. House-made albacore tuna, egg or white meat chicken salad comes with Jarlsburg cheese, tomato and the real Buli mayo on Happy Health bread. We like that most of the meals are served in metal lunch boxes, such as Superman and Betty Boop. The house-made gelato, leaning more toward the consistency of American ice cream than the custard-style concoction of Italy, is just average.
