Wine lovers crowd the three rooms of this cozy bungalow because they know that mom-and-pop owners Polly Young and Jeff Treistman stock an impeccably cared-for inventory of more than 60 vintages. The couple honed their wine expertise as proprietors of the nearby City Cellars wine shop, but now run the restaurant full time. Order by the bottle or by the two-once pour and taste your way through a menu that is designed to complement the wine, not the other way around. The flavor profile tends to be European and the small, medium and large plates range from assorted cheeses and olives, to lasagne with a creamy butternut squash sauce, to pork tenderloin or fish stew. Added attractions include monthly wine tastings, live classical guitar and a lovely outdoor terrace with a distant view of the Cascades.
