THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Burt & Jacks Restaurant Review

: Burt is actor Burt Reynolds, who met Jack Jackson during the South Florida filming of the movie Stick. Since opening this restaurant in 1984, they have continuously served tried-and-true, high quality, meat-and-potato meals. It seems the staid clientele here can live without goat cheese, arugula and many other chichi ingredients. The restaurant is set in a charming, Spanish-style villa with barrel tile roofs amid tropical gardens. The dining rooms’ large windows offer a grand view of the Intracoastal Waterway at the Port Everglades Inlet. Waiters are gussied up in tuxedo gear. New York strip steaks are among the prime beef cuts---and huge lobsters are featured as well as lots of other seafood. (Raw and live versions of the aforementioned are eagerly shown to diners to help them decide.) Desserts are gigantic.
