This is a classic Southern joint, with waitresses who call you “Sugar” and “Honey” even though they may be harried. Properly cooked grits and good biscuits hot from the oven will make you a card-carrying Southerner with one bite. Breakfast is the key, with streak-o-lean, just in case you want to toss your diet to the winds. A rib-eye steak is a good starter, with a pair of eggs. Pork chops are another classic country option, as is country sausage. Coffee's good and medium strong. You can come back for catfish for dinner, but do breakfast first. It's available all day. Usually, the restaurant closes at 8:30 p.m., but on Saturday it closes at 2 p.m.
