THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Butterflies Restaurant Review:

This north Raleigh restaurant’s fanciful name is echoed in artwork throughout the bar and dining room. Most notably, colorful butterfly motif ceramic tiles, commissioned for the restaurant, grace an entire wall of the dining room, adding sparkle to the otherwise spare elegance of the décor. It’s a suitable backdrop for appreciating the talents of chef-owner Sarig Agasi, whose cuisine is firmly grounded in classic technique, and liberally sparked with bold strokes of inventiveness. A sampling of the seasonally rotating bill of fare: beef carpaccio over mâche with black truffle oil, rack of lamb with lentils and sorrel, salmon wrapped in grape leaves with lobster-pomegranate sauce, and Agasi’s trademark stew of baby octopus and littleneck clams with Israeli couscous.
