THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Buzios Seafood Restaurant Restaurant Review

: A fish tank outside the restaurant and one in the busy kitchen set the tone for Buzios’ menu. The dimly lit room is decorated with colorful nautical tiles and artifacts, and the view of the Rio's pool and sandy beach enhance this stylish seafood eatery. Specializing in a variety of fresh fish flown in daily from across the nation and around the world, Buzios belies the oft-held myth about eating fish in the desert. Start with the lobster bisque, the New England clam chowder or the Pacific ahi poke with macadamia nuts, avocado and soy. Consider the selection of oysters, clams, sashimi, shrimp, scallops and squid from the raw bar; bouillabaisse; and pan-roasted proteins. We like the Chilean sea bass with house-made miso glaze, and the wasabi-coated Hawaiian ahi with a soy emulsion. Seafood can be found in the pasta offerings, too, such as the seafood fra diavolo fettuccine with calamari, fish, scallops, lobster, mussels and clams. Those looking for a sampling of the season's best will be pleased with the chef's six-course tasting menu, which can be paired with wine.
