Once you’ve been to Byblos you become part of the family. Local artists often display their paintings, and the whole feeling is so friendly that we just keep going back. You can choose from more than 20 little starters, ranging from a selection of pickled vegetables to lambs’ tongues to the best dolmadakia in the city. They make their yogurt fresh daily. If you can put together a party of 12, you can special-order a whole roast lamb, which comes with all the mezes you want. The wine list is small but thoughtfully chosen; it includes Château Musar, the famed and hard-to-find wine from Lebanon.
