This unassuming Middle Eastern café in Arlington doesn’t have a single trick up its sleeve. It serves the same no-frills, no-surprises, inexpensive grub that you’ll find at any number of similar take-out operations. Yet something here is different. You notice it the minute you walk into the slightly dark room and find a collection of beaming academics and families in rare harmony. Suddenly the ho-hum Middle Eastern schtick doesn’t seem quite as tired. The grape leaves have tang; the falafel is light and crunchy; the breads are fresh-baked; and the baklava has lots of layers of flavor.
