Cafe Beaujolais Restaurant Review

: This romantic country bistro emphasizes fresh, organic ingredients on its seasonally changing menu. Start with a glass of sparkling wine and then dig into signature dishes such as local Dungeness crab cake with Asian-style slaw, seared foie gras with crispy panisse and cherry reduction, or fried Brussels sprouts with manchego and fleur de sel. Entrées include a seafood bouillabaisse in a roasted tomato and saffron broth, broiled filet mignon with Yukon Gold mashies and foie gras butter, and Petaluma duck two ways: crispy-skinned breast and confit. Enjoy sweet endings with flourless chocolate lava cake served with vanilla bean ice cream, or try one of the assorted house-made fruit sorbets. The wine menu focuses on Mendocino and Sonoma counties, and has notable French representation.
