Cafe Beaujolais Restaurant Review: This romantic country spot recently went through a change of ownership, but the menu remains largely the same, emphasizing fresh, organic ingredients on a seasonally changing menu. Start with a glass of local sparkling wine, and then dig in to homegrown dishes such as a goat cheese and bacon salad on dressed greens, or the roast free-range chicken with kumquat sauce. A broiled Niman Ranch pork rib chop is flavored with a Calvados-cider sauce. For dessert, the profiteroles, brioche bread pudding and lemon charlotte are some of our favorites. You’ll find a fine selection of brut rosés and sparkling wines on a tempting list of local vintages. |
