Cafe Beaujolais Restaurant Review

: This romantic country bistro emphasizes fresh, organic ingredients on its seasonally changing menu. Start with a glass of local sparkling wine, and then dig into signature dishes such as local Dungeness crab cake with Asian-style slaw, seared foie gras with crispy panisse and cherry reduction, or fried Brussels sprouts with manchego and fleur de sel. Entrées include a seafood bouillabaisse in a roasted tomato and saffron broth, broiled filet mignon with Yukon Gold mashies and foie gras butter, and Petaluma duck two ways: crispy-skinned breast and confit. Enjoy a sweet ending with coconut cream pie with chocolate macaroon crust, drizzled with caramel sauce, or an olive oil waffle served with strawberry sorbet and balsamic reduction. The wine menu focuses on Mendocino and Sonoma counties, and has notable French representation.
