Customers may come to Café Eclectic seeking a caffeinated pick-me-up, but once inside, the allure of fresh-baked ciabatta loaves, homemade donuts or a strawberry cupcake, and a menu of comforting sandwiches and salads, is impossible to resist. With its vegan burger, available in a wrap or on a whole-wheat bun, Café Eclectic is one of a handful of eateries in Memphis offering several herbivore options. But omnivores will find plenty to sate their appetites, such as the grilled chicken and pineapple panino or the N’awlins Dog piled high with lettuce, bacon, tomato and rémoulade sauce. Bring canine friends as dogs may sit with their human companions on the breezy patio. Sunday brunch is a daylong affair until 3 p.m., and offerings range from scrambled eggs or tofu scramble wraps to Scottish porridge and granola.
