| A popular dining spot on Fisherman's Wharf, Café Fina is owned by the Mercurios, a third-generation Italian American family. They produce their own pastas accented with fresh herb sauces, and bake authentic Italian pizzas in a wood-burning brick oven. The signature dish is the pasta Fina: baby shrimp, black olives, Roma tomatoes and green onions in a butter-clam sauce over linguine. Fresh seafood dishes run the gamut from grilled sand dabs to fresh crab. We recommend the calamari and peas on a bed of fusilli pasta, a medley of textural appeals. Rustic brick chicken from the wood-fired oven will not disappoint---flavored with rosemary and olive oil, cooked (for 25 minutes) until spilling over with juices. We're pleased to find the dish available for both lunch and dinner. |
