Cafe Roberto Restaurant Review: This rustic 30-seat BYO café is from brothers Roberto and Fernando Vincenti, who, along with chef Isidro "Ciro" Ramos, last worked at Radicchio in Old City. The restaurant is adorned simply, with faux brick walls, a minimalist urban patio out back and an open kitchen. The fresh whole fish is always a good idea, grilled with olive oil and lemon juice and filleted tableside. Grilled shrimp marinated with lemon and extra virgin olive oil or tender veal Milanese are satisfying. Expect a wait on the weekends, since reservations aren't an option and the local crowd knows a good deal when they see one. |
