Caffe Vialetto Restaurant Review: Once an insiders’ hidden gem, Caffe Vialetto now packs them in. Owners Ernie Fernandez and Marcelo Chopa warmly welcome all as extended family into the subtly lit, intimate dining room with original art on the walls. Classics like spaghetti carbonara and linguine vongole satisfy, as do a salmon and crab cake. More noteworthy: meat candy (braised pork belly in apricot demi-glaze with four-cheese polenta); and chicken breast stuffed with plantain, mushroom and cream cheese mousse over Champagne risotto. The signature dessert, known as “The Funk,” brings tiramisu layered with Heath bar crunch with blueberry sauce.
