Cala Bella Restaurant Review: Cala Bella is nestled inside the Rosen Shingle Creek resort, named after the headwaters of the Florida Everglades. An open kitchen accentuates the dining experience. The restaurant is known for its contemporary pastas, tender steaks and chops, and seafood dishes. Cavatelli Napoli is made with al dente pasta, juicy pan-seared diver scallops and roasted tomatoes in lobster butter; the signature Cala Bella lamb presents herb-roasted New Zealand lamb chops served with a rosemary herb Marsala sauce. Seafood lovers may opt for the braised porcini mushroom-dusted sea bass with pan-seared pancetta, or the Cala Bella seafood pescatore with spicy saffron tomato broth, lobster tail, mussels and calamari. The quality of the ingredients well justifies the higher prices. Sit by the windows to enjoy dinner and watch the Florida sun set over the resort’s 18-hole golf course.
